One of the best things about the PATCH NYC at TARGET collection hitting stores yesterday is that we finally got our hands on some new bedding.   Not surprisingly, we had a hard time choosing a favorite pattern so we settled for all three designs which, since they’re reversible, really means  six (!) new options….perfect for changing up the bedroom decor with a simple flip of the comforter.   Now that the seasons are shifting and there is a slight chill in the air, it’s time to fluff the down comforter and dress up the bed with new colors and patterns….a perfect excuse for indulging in a favorite PATCH NYC weekend pastime: sleeping & (sweet) dreaming!

For the two night Shops at Target launch in NYC this past week, our South End shop was transported to a cavernous space in the Meat Packing District complete with a town square, benches, trees, a band-stand and a “coffee shop” serving as a snack and drink bar.  The VIP event was packed with people getting a preview of all the Shops at Target collections, indulging in delicious ice-cream sandwiches and drinking minty sangria while the beautiful Alexandra Richards (daughter of Keith and Patti Hansen) played a fantastic mix of music from her DJ station (conveniently located just outside the PATCH NYC shop)!  The evening culminated with a performance by Swedish band, Miike Snow.  The following night, the space was opened up to the public as part of Fashion’s Night Out and the crowd of stylish revelers was incredible…these were some seriously fashionable folk looking to get their stylish hands on PATCH NYC at TARGET pieces before the collection hits stores.  Good thing we had some very attentive Target helpers nearby to keep the shelves stocked!

We are counting down the days til the official launch of the PATCH NYC at TARGET collection!  We are also compiling our shopping list ahead of time since it’s more than likely we’ll be a bit blurry-eyed at 8 am on a Sunday….who knew Target opened so early?  See you there!
