We are pleased to offer a selection of vintage art sourced by our founders Don and John during their travels.

Here, a beautifully hand colored lithograph of three fishes from the extensive work (with an equally extensive title): L'histoire Naturelle des Quadrupedes Ovipares, des Serpents, des Poissons et des Cetaces (The Natural History of Oviparous Quadrupeds, Snakes, Fishes and Cetaceans). The volumes were the work of naturalist Bernard-Germain-Étienne de La Ville-sur-Illon, Comte de Lacépède.  This lithograph was printed in Bruxelles by Th. Lejeune in the early 1800's. The silver tone wood frame is vintage.

Original hand-colored lithograph on paper under glass in a vintage silver tone wood frame.  Frame measures about 9.25"h x 7.25"w. Image measures about 7.5"h x 5.5"w.

Please note: This is a one-of-a-kind, unique piece and it is FINAL SALE so review all photos and please email with any questions.  This engraving and frame will have small imperfections due to age but we think this adds to the vintage charm.
