Teal Bird on a Branch Original Hand-Colored French Engraving in Vintage Oval Frame

We are pleased to offer a selection of vintage art sourced by our founders Don and John during their travels.  Here, a small engraving of a sweetly rendered bird in a beautiful shade of teal posed on a branch.  

This original hand colored engraving is from a series of books called: Dictionnaire Pittoresque d'Histoire Naturelle et des Phenomenes de la Nature (Picture Dictionary of Natural History and Phenomena of Nature) published in the 1830's in France. The silver tone oval frame is vintage.

Original hand-colored French engraving on paper under glass in a vintage silver tone frame.  Frame measures about 6.5"h x 5.5"w. Image measures about 4.5"h x 3.5"w.
