We are pleased to offer a selection of vintage art sourced by our founders Don and John during their travels. Here, a striking and graphic image of French crowns (couronnes) from the 6th to 11th Centuries. Each crown is numbered with a legend at the bottom of the page. We love the colored jewels decorating the crowns and the subtle golden metallic sheen.
This original high quality chromolithograph is from Nouveau Larousse Illustré, a series of illustrated encyclopedic dictionaries published in 1897.
Original chromolithograph mounted on patterned paper under glass in a vintage wood frame. Frame measures about 14"h x 12.5"w. Image measures about 12.25"h x 10.5"w.
Please note: This is a one-of-a-kind, unique piece and it is FINAL SALE so review all photos and please email with any questions. This artwork and frame will have small imperfections due to age but we think this adds to the vintage charm.
