Original Portrait of a Man by Gertrude Ann Youse Painting on Board Vintage Art (1949)

We are pleased to offer a selection of vintage art sourced by our founders Don and John during their travels.  Here, a terrific original painted portrait of a man by Massachusetts artist Gertrude Ann Youse (1927-1994) who also went by her initials GAY. She studied at the Museum School of Boston and for over 20 years was the director of the Helen Bumpus Gallery in Duxbury.  We love the painterly quality of this portrait and the wonderfully detailed grey hair.

Paint on board.  Unframed.  Signed on the back: "Gay Youse '49".  Board measures about 20"h x 14"w.
