Vintage Brownfield & Sons Cyprus Ceramic Soup Plates Made in England (Set of 4)
Regular price $158.00
PATCH NYC founders Don and John love to visit vintage markets whenever they travel and we are pleased to offer a selection of their special finds. Here, a set of 4 ceramic plates in the rare Cyprus design by William Brownfield & Sons of England. Even more rare, this color way with intense blue and green accents. This Cyprus design created in the 1870's is a quintessential example of the Victorian Arts & Crafts movement and is in the collections of several museums including the Brooklyn Museum of Art.
Ceramic. About 9.5" diameter and 1.5" deep. Sold as a set of 4 matching plates. See photo for bottom labeling. Made in England.
Please note: We have only one of this vintage set available and it is FINAL SALE. Before purchasing, review all photos and please email us with any questions or concerns. Two of these plates have fissure cracks visible on the bottoms (see photos). One is visible from the front but the other smaller crack is hidden by the pattern on the front. Overall, these plates will have small, non-structural imperfections in the finish or surface due to their age but we think this adds to the vintage charm and character.
