Waylande Gregory (1905-1971) was an American artist and designer internationally known for his large scale sculptural works represented in the collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Whitney Museum of American Art and The Smithsonian Institution.
In the 40's and 50's Waylande developed a collection of fine decorative ceramics incorporating motifs from nature combined with his signature color glazes and metallic accents. These pieces are now reproduced and reimagined in a new collection of beautiful decorative objects by the Waylande Gregory studio.
Ceramic stoneware hand-detailed with 22kt gold glaze. Not food safe. About 7" x 7" x 1.75" deep. Made in Peru.
