Don Carney Pair of Brown Eyes with Gem Tears & Diamond Hearts - Art Prints in Vintage Black & Gold Oval Frames

We are very pleased to offer this fine art print from an original watercolor & gouache painting by PATCH NYC co-founder Don Carney.  For over 15 years, Don's mother Carmella created nearly 100 varieties of needlepoint eyes that we finished with vintage frames and sold to collectors around the world. 

As an homage to Carmella's needlepoint creations, Don painted this eye in his meticulously detailed style using watercolor & gouache paints on a textured paper.  Inspired by Victorian-era jewelry, these Lover's Eyes are rendered with a blue gem tear of joy and a heart shaped frame of faceted diamonds. The Eye as a design motif has been part of PATCH NYC since our early days so we are very pleased to offer this update of one of our favorite subjects.

Printed on an archival matte paper, these high quality art prints come framed under glass in a pair of vintage black and gold oval wood frames.  Hanging wire installed on the back. 

Frame dimensions about 8.25"w x 6.25"h.  Printed and framed with care in the U.S.A. Sold as a pair.
