PATCH NYC Smiling Lips Solid Brass Incense Burner

We are very excited to introduce the first designs from our exclusive collection of PATCH NYC incense burners including these golden Smiling Lips. 

We began this new collection by sketching a series of shapes and objects that we thought would make interesting incense burners.  To bring our pencil and ink sketches to life, we carved 3D models from hard wax like we do with some of our jewelry pieces.  Using a variety of sculpting tools and a patient hand, we scraped and scored the hard wax surfaces to emulate the line quality of our original sketches.  Once we had a finished wax prototype we made a mold and had the piece cast in solid brass by a fine jewelry caster.  As a last step, each brass incense burner is tumbled, and the surface is carefully polished to enhance the detail.

PATCH NYC incense burners come with a black ceramic dish to keep falling ashes contained while protecting your tabletop.  

Smiling Lips measure 1" tall x 2" wide x .25" deep.  Black ceramic dish measures 3.75" diameter x .75" deep.  Hole fits a standard incense stick similar to Astier de Villatte incense.  Please note: each incense burner is cast and polished individually so gold color and finish may vary slightly.
