It brings us great pleasure to announce the publication of Variations on a Theme, a collection of still life photographs by John Ross, co-founder of PATCH NYC.
This hardback volume highlights John's exploration and reinterpretation of traditional still life compositions featuring flowers and fruits as well as vintage objects and ephemera from the artist's own collection.
Inspired by the lushness of 17th century Dutch still life paintings as well as the quiet spareness of Giorgio Morandi's compositions, John photographs objects, flowers and fruits in beautifully styled arrangements that are organically harmonious with, at times, unexpected elements such as a length of blue ribbon or a ball of string.
This special signed edition of Variations on a Theme is accompanied by a signed fine art print of a still life (specially selected by John and Don) on an archival matte paper suitable for framing.
