We are pleased to offer wonderful smelling incense from the Paris based design studio Astier de Villatte. Inspired by travels around the world, Astier de Villatte incense is handmade in Japan by master craftspeople following traditional techniques on the island of Awaji.
The inspiration: Nara, a small, tranquil Japanese town, is home to numerous magnificent temples and shrines and a park famous for its freely roaming deer. The charming, century-old Nara Hotel, a favorite of dignitaries, offers a welcome haven of repose: We lose ourselves with delight in the city’s winding alleys. In the air floats an exquisite fragrance of sandalwood, its warm, comforting scent enriched by a hint of sweet and sensual jasmine.
The fragrance: sandalwood amyris, sambac jasmine, ginger roots, cashmeran, and amber.
One box contains 125 sticks (30 minute burn time each). Box measures 6" x 2.5" x .75". Made in Japan. Incense holders sold separately.
