Here, a beautiful hand colored lithograph of a pommier (apple) & Pompadour (Pompadour Contiga) from a series of books published in 1834 called: Dictionnaire Pittoresque d'Histoire Naturelle et des Phenomenes de la Nature (Picture Dictionary of Natural History and Phenomena of Nature). The Pompadour Contiga is a bird species from the Amazon rainforest with striking burgundy plumage. The wood frame is vintage.
Original hand-colored engraving under glass in a vintage wood frame. Frame measures about 10.5"h x 8.5"w. Image measures about 9"h x 7"w. Sold individually.
