Tigers, leopards, cougars and lions have been part of the PATCH NYC design vocabulary since our earliest collections. Now, we are pleased to feature two very different but equally majestic wild cats on this silk scarf design where they display their distinctive patterns side by side creating a variation on a chevron repeat.
The background geometric pattern was inspired by a feather detail from an 1800's artist interpretation of exotic hummingbirds. The unexpected saturated green was the result of several color tests. We were hoping for the intensity of liquid absinthe and we think the silk translates this color perfectly.
PATCH NYC scarves are made by artisan craftspeople in Italy using the finest materials and each piece is hand-finished with a traditional hand-stitched rolled edge.
