Vintage Handmade Girosi Ceramic Seated Folk Couple Made in Italy

PATCH NYC founders Don and John love to visit vintage markets whenever they travel and we are pleased to offer a selection of their special finds. 

Here, a very sweet handmade ceramic sculpture depicting a seated couple in folk clothing.  This beautifully detailed piece was created by Girosi Napoli, a ceramics studio based in Naples, Italy in the mid-20th century. We love the tender expressions on the faces, the poses, the woman's hat, the man's kerchief and suspenders and both of their clog footwear!

Ceramic. Measures about 4.75" tall x 5" wide x 3.5" deep.  See photo for bottom maker label. Made in Italy.
