Vintage Metal Standing Pirate Statue by Paul Herzel

PATCH NYC founders Don and John love to visit vintage markets whenever they travel and we are pleased to offer a selection of their special finds. 

Here, a metal statue of a beautifully rendered pirate cast from an original sculpture by Paul Herzel (1876-1956).  This pirate statue was produced by the Pompeiian Bronze Company of NYC circa 1920-30.  We love all the wonderful details on this pirate from the skull & crossbones on his hat to the coil of textured rope at his feet.  This substantial piece has a beautiful patina!

Bronze clad metal.  Measures about 9.5" high x 5.5" wide x 4.5" deep.  See photo for marking.  Sold individually.

Please note: We have only one of this vintage item available and it is FINAL SALE.  Before purchasing, review all photos and please email us with any questions or concerns.  This vintage sculpture has visible cracks around the boots near the base.  These cracks appear to be non-structural surface imperfections affectingonly the outer bronze clad surface and not the inner metal core.
