Vintage Figural Man with an Orange Box Ceramic Incense Burner Made in Occupied Japan

PATCH NYC founders Don and John love to visit vintage markets whenever they travel and we are pleased to offer a selection of their special finds. 

Here, a ceramic figural incense burner in the shape of a kneeling man detailed in a striking mix of colors.  This intricately painted figure is holding a decorated box with three holes for the incense smoke.  On the back, there is an opening to place the incense inside.  This beautiful decorative piece was made between 1945-1952.

Ceramic.  About 4.25"h x 2.5"w x 2"d. Marked "Made in Occupied Japan" (see photo)
